FAQ

Am I a good candidate?

The best candidates for MICROBLADING have dry skin types with tiny pores. Skin that’s thin, but not super thin. This type of skin has low sensitivity, with non-translucent fair ivory skin tone and doesn’t bleed easily.

Normal to combination skin types with small to normal pores are also good candidates; slightly oily to dry and normal sensitivity. This type of skin is usually non-translucent and can range from light to dark skin tones, young or mature skin and doesn’t bleed easily.

You are NOT a good candidate for MICROBLADING if you have thick, oily skin with large pores that tend to bleed easily (which can negatively affect the absorption of pigment.) The skin texture and constant production of oil will cause the hairstrokes to heal with a thicker diffused, softer look, or even bleed together.

Also, super-thin, soft, hypersensitive, skin with barely any upper skin layer. Usually translucent/pale with invisible pores and can have rosacea or dermatitis. This type of skin is highly prone to developing scar tissue, bleeds VERY easily, has a harder time healing, and pigment can appear blurred and blotchy.

POWDER/OMBRE & Pixelblading works on mostly all skin types and is typically recommended. It tends to heal more naturally and evenly compared to Microblading. If you like the look of hair strokes a combination brow will work best for you!

How long will it last?

All brow services are semi-permanent, as it will not wash off, however it will fade gradually over time.  Although results differ from client to client, microblading typically last on average between 1-3 years, with annual touch-ups recommended in order to refresh the pigment and redefine the strokes. Shading can last 2-3 years.

What Will The Appointment Consist of?

Generally, an appointment is scheduled for 3 hours. The first half of the appointment is the consultative component of the procedure, and the second half is the actual procedure itself. During the beginning of each appointment, I review all forms completed, map out facial features, consult on brow shaping & design, put on pre-numbing, customized color matching, review aftercare instructions, and then any Q&As that are unanswered.  Additional time may be used to ensure you are pleased with your procedure.

Does it Hurt?

A combination of topical anesthetic creams with 5% Lidocaine is used for numbing before and throughout the procedure for maximum comfort. Most clients feel nothing!

What is the healing process?

The healing process is extremely important and must be followed precisely. Please see the aftercare page for all the details.

Will Results Vary?

Yes! Permanent makeup is an ART, not a science. Results are extremely dependent on how one heals and will vary with each individual client. Successful results and specific color requests are not guaranteed and additional sessions, at a minimum charge, may be required to obtain desired results.  Although I use premium products and provide quality services, every client heals differently and many factors can lead to varied results.  I do not guarantee perfect proportions or symmetry as some bone structures and muscle movements do not call for it. The final shape is completely your decision, and tattooing will not start until you decide on the final shape. All services provided are non-refundable.
